With the NCAA March Madness tournament finally here, students at Corner Canyon High School are making this year's brackets for the tournament. Teams like Gonzaga, Kansas, and North Carolina are very popular among students. Not only students are having fun, teachers like Mrs. Leach, an AP human geography teacher, and Mr. Fowler watch the March Madness tournament during their free time. “Although I don’t make a bracket because I get frustrated, I love watching the tournament. I love college basketball,” said Mrs. Leach. Some unexpected things have happened in the first round of the tournament this year. Miami lost to Layola, a super unexpected turn of events. “I had Miami at least get past the first round,” said Cole LaTour a student at Corner Canyon High School, “Now my bracket is ruined.” Lots of students are still eager to see who the victor of the March Madness tournament will be. Teams like North Carolina, Duke, and Kansas are the highest picked teams to win. “There is no way that Kansas is taking the L this year. The team is so good and their strategy is on point,” said Sam Miller, a freshman at Corner Canyon High School. With the first round of the tournament almost over, all three of the most picked teams are not eliminated. The NCAA March Madness tournament continues through the rest of March.
